Ice fishing in the Brainerd Lakes area continues to go strong. We have houses set up for crappies over 30 - 40 feet of water and walleyes a bit shallower. Best bites are 4-7 in the evenings, with early morning also producing some nice crappies with big bluegills mixed in. We've got great spots picked out in the Brainerd Lakes area that have received almost no fishing pressure to get you into great crappie and walleye action! Give Fifty Lakes Guide Service a call and we'll get your trip booked! Steve Fries

Well, another open water fishing season is behind us as temperatures will drop later this week and our lakes will turn to "hard water"! Also, another successful Bear season has passed and we're wrapping up our Whitetail hunts. Thanks to all of our great customers this past season, it was a pleasure to serve you! Now, get ready for ice fishing! We've got great spots picked out in the Brainerd Lakes area to get you into great crappie and walleye action! Give Fifty Lakes Guide Service a call and we'll get your trip booked! Happy Holidays, Steve Fries

Happy Halloween! Rainy and cold is how I would describe October. Our watershed has certainly been replenished and we should be in great shape with full lakes and a fast spring green-up next year! We're out getting walleyes in 30 feet out on the Whitefish Chain in the evenings. Getting a lot of limits of eater size fish. A lot of deer moving around so our customers are getting good whitetail action. Looking forward to November rifle season! Steve Fries

We're getting a few bears, but there is a lot of food out there so bait stations are only getting hit every few days. Whitetail hunts are just getting started and walleye fishing is starting to heat up again, especially on the whitefish chain. Summer is coming to a gradual end. The acorns are starting to fall and we've been out picking berries with the bears! Fishing for crappies continues to be excellent and walleye fishing in the mornings has been real good. Hope you are enjoying the summer! Steve Fries, Fifty Lakes Guide Service, guiding throughout the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Warm weather means Walleyes are on the flats, rock humps, and at the edge of the weed beds where there is a structure change. We've been getting our customers limits out of Leech and the Whitefish Chain. We've been chasing Walleyes in the morning and Crappies in the evening and we've sure had a bunch of smiling customers lately. Give us a call and we'll get you into a bunch of fish. We're guiding throughout the Brainerd Lakes area and many of the northern lakes. Steve Fries, Fifty Lakes Guide Service

It's great to have the kids back in my fishing boat! With school now out many of my customers are taking their kids fishing---and we're having a blast! Walleyes and crappies are still red hot. We're spending a lot of time in the Crosslake area as well as Leech Lake and Red Lake. We're running a special for the month of June: "Bring a kid fishing 20% off special"! Give Fifty Lakes Guide Service a call to book your trip. We'll take you to where the fish are in the Brainerd Lakes Area or up to one of the big lakes. Have a great summer! What a beautiful Memorial Day weekend in the Brainerd Lakes Area. We took a group out for some crappie fishing on Friday and then guided two groups on Leech Lake on Saturday and Sunday. The Crappies, Walleye, and Jumbo Perch are all still very active so we were able to get our guests into a bunch of nice fish. The water is warming up and the fish are starting to move around a little more, but we're on top of them every day. Hope you had a safe and fun Memorial Day Weekend! You just can't beat Walleye and Crappie fishing in May and June! Fifty Lakes Guide Service has been taking groups out all over the Brainerd Lakes Area and up to Red Lake and Leech Lake---and no matter where we go, we're finding the fish and boy are they biting! We've had just a ball this spring taking groups out, especially watching some of the kids get their first Walleye. The weather is really turning nice now and the fish are active. Give us call if you'd like to book a trip! Steve Fries, Fifty Lakes Guide Service, serving the Brainerd Lakes Area

What an opening weekend! Although it was chilly out on Red Lake Saturday, I had a boat full of happy customes who caught over 50 beautiful Walleyes! After the Walleyes we chased jumbo Perch and landed a couple dozen dandies! On a warmer Sunday we fished a lake in the Crosslake area and limited our group out on Walleyes and Crappies. What a couple of great opening days! Fifty Lakes Guide Service is guiding daily now. We'll guide you for Walleye, Crappie, or those big jumbo Perch! Give us a call and we'll arrange a great outing for you. We guide throughout the entire Brainerd Lakes area and the big lakes like Red and Leech too! Crappies, crappies, crappies! They are biting fast and furious in the Brainerd Lakes area. Crappie fishing during a Minnesota Spring is just a blast! The water is still cold so the fish are staging off the shallows in deeper water---and boy are they hungry! Our groups are getting into a lot of great fish. We've had limits with all of our groups so far this spring. Give Fifty Lakes Guide Service a call to set up a fantastic Crappie fishing outing. Also, book your Spring and Summer Walleye outings now and get on the books for Bear and Whitetail hunts this fall. Here's to great fishing! Steve Fries, Fifty Lakes Guide Service.

Ice is out in the Brainerd Lakes area! Crappie action is excellent. We're catching some great fish and the weather is really starting to turn nice. Our groups are catching a lot of fish and some really big fish. Hope to see you on the water this spring! Steve Fries, Fifty Lakes Guide Service

Well, it's Spring here in beautiful Minnesota. Spring brings us many great changes, including open water which means fantastic Crappie fishing! Fifty Lakes Guide Service took our first open water group out on Saturday, April 18th. We fished a lake in the Emily area. One side of the lake was slush and ice and the other side was beautiful open water! The weather was in the lower 50's with peaks of sunshine. Our clients limited out on some beautiful eater crappies and enjoyed a delicious fishfry that evening. Wow, is it great to be back on the water! The Crappie action will be hot all Spring and Summer on the lakes we guide. Give us a call if you'd like to get out on the water and have a great time chasing Crappies.
